One of the best things is that my kids and husband get to make up for lost time together. I'm lucky enough to be a stay at home mom -- and I actually stay at home. I'm not overbooked with things to do, if the kids and I want to go out to lunch we do. If we want to stay in, we do. My husband on the other hand works weekends and only gets about 10 hours with the kids on his two days off! He's a furniture salesman too so he works most holidays when the kids are out of school. Back to the point: my husband and three kids have decided to spend the day overdosing on video games so I get play time of my own and EVERYONE'S happy!!!
Today I made two cards. This is the first of those two. I am participating in two challenges today. Operation Write Home's Sketch #163 AND Heart 2 Heart Spring Forward Challenge from March 4th. This is the first time I've ever participated in Heart 2 Heart Challenges and I want to thank my good friend Amie for leading me to them. I've done Operation Write Home sketches before but it's been some time.
I didn't add a sentiment yet only because I'm torn on who will receive this beautiful card!! I used Close To My Heart paper from the Chantilly paper pack and also some Lagoon cardstock. Dimensions for the straight cut pieces are in the sketch below. I added some butterflies that I cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and a 3D Bow for the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge. The pink polka dot strip is Recollections Craft tape. Add some sparkles and the card is finished.
Here's the Sketch from Operation Write Home.
My 9 year old daughter loves to craft as well and she came in just as I was finishing my card. She makes birthday cards for her teachers (and friends) and decided to flip my design and make her own. I'm not sure which one I like more!!! It's so cute!!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!! I really appreciate every visitor, comment and like/follow! I hope you're getting ready for Spring by Crafting!!

I love it! I mean them! The butterflies are the perfect shape for spring...and the bow is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat bow is just too precious and how wonderful to have a daughter who shares your passion for creating. Mine likes to create other things, so we don't make too many cards together, maybe one day, lol.
ReplyDeleteBoth are so fun! The 3D bow rocks it! tfs!!!
